Yoqallitu

Dieses Gemälde ist eine Hommage an Lucio Meldendres, einen Aymara-Künstler und Liedermacher aus Bolivien, meinen Ehemann und den Vater unseres Sohnes Nino. Lucio starb im Alter von 37 Jahren (QDEP). Er hinterließ eine Vielzahl bewegender Lieder und Melodien, von denen eines unserem damals noch kleinen Sohn gewidmet war. Das Lied ist in Aymara, der indigenen Sprache der Hochlandkultur Boliviens, verfasst und heißt „Yoqallitu“. Das bedeutet „kleiner Junge“. In seinem Lied geht es ganz um Vaterliebe, genau wie in meinem Gemälde.
